Louis F. Carroccia passed away peacefully November 16, 2005 at the age of 90 while a patient at St. Francis Hospital.

He served with distinction during World War II and was discharged with honors. Louis founded "The Custom Tailor Shop" in 1938 located at 4th & Shipley Sts. He retired from tailoring in 1988. During this time, he served the public as a city fireman. He retired from the City Fire Department in 1962. At his death, he was the oldest living fire fighter in DE. Louis was also the co-owner of the Wilmington Window Cleaning Co.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Naomi Ruth Carroccia; and their 3 daughters, Karen, Deborah and Cara and their families.

A memorial mass was be offered at 11 am on Monday, November 21, 2005, at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
