Raymond J. Kerrigan

AGE: 69 Wilmington, Delaware

Ray was born in the Bronx, New York in 1946 to the late Catherine and Patrick Kerrigan. He attended Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx and majored in Accounting at Pace University in New York.

He served four years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Sergeant. He worked for American Express as an Accountant/Controller for 33 years. He retired from American Express as a Director/Vice President in 2002. He was a Controller in a chemical company in Pennsylvania from 2002-2008.

He enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He was an active member of Delaware Veterans Post#1 and the Knights of Columbus.

Ray leaves behind his wife Fran; three children, Raymond, Colleen (Bryan) and Kevin (Katie); five grandchildren, Connor, Sean, Bridget, Megan and Logan. Also left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Margaret Sullivan (Jerry), Catherine Kennedy (Patrick), Eileen Kennedy (Jerry) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Catholic Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 pm on November 18, 2015 at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803, where family and friends are invited to call after 1:00 pm. Burial will take place at 10:00 am the following day at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear.
